Carrie & Julie — Pacific Northwest LGBTQ+ Elopement Photographer
In midsummer of 2022, Kayleigh and I traveled to Port Angeles, Washington where Julie and Carrie embarked on a journey of love and commitment in a breathtaking elopement ceremony at sunset. The women whispered their vows under a coastal conifers and read from their shared orange journal. They wore beautiful floral dresses, handmade flower and feather crowns, and danced barefoot as the cold sea foam lapped at their feet.
After they tied the knot, they enjoyed a picnic of cupcakes and champagne on the shrinking beach. Carrie and Julie stole glances with each other every chance they got. When it got cold, Carrie wrapped Julie in her shawl and a tender embrace.
The sun set and the clouds rolled in as quickly as the tide, but we accepted the elements and let nature be our muse. The soft sand beneath their feet, the thick fog of the sea air, and the ever-changing light of the setting sun helped us create beauty and art with the lovers as our models. I love working with Kayleigh because she hits those notes that I can’t (it helps that she climbs trees and rocks for me!) and has my back 100% of the time. The entire evening filled our creative bellies.
The images in this post are a mix of Kayleigh Stefanko Photography and Fox & Wagon Photography. Ask me which ones each of us took and I couldn’t tell you! That’s how well we mesh our styles!
